Davis County Lincoln Day Dinner

It was a tremendous and moving night on to participate in The Lincoln Day Dinner hosted by the Davis County Republicans on February 20th. Our elected officials, Davis County Republican Party leaders, community leaders and politically active Republicans joined together that evening to celebrate Republican ideals and values.

We listened to Lt. Governor Cox, Attorney General Sean Reyes, Senator Mike Lee, Representative Rob Bishop, and a keynote address by Representative Chris Stewart. They talked about the leadership of our state, the industriousness and commitment of our people, and the values of our party.

Brian Tarbet, Chief Deputy for the Attorney General, retired Major General in U S Army, and former Commanding General of the Utah National Guard, celebrated the dedication of the men and women in the military who serve that we might be free through a music video and an inspiring talk.

For me, the highlight of the evening was a talk and performance by a featured guest, Beau Davidson, an actor, singer, and songwriter from Tennessee where I grew up. You can watch his EMMY-nominated song “Blessed”. I think you will be inspired by his patriotism!
